Telangana: Office complex held up for Vasthu

32-acre parcel would become vasthu compliant if another two acres are included in it.

Warangal: While all the new districts created during district reorganisation last year are making arrangements for the foundation laying ceremony of their new government office complexes on October 11, the Mahbubabad district administration is yet to clear the road for the land identified for the integrated government office complex.

A 32-acre land on the outskirts of Mahbubabad town in Survey No. 255 was identified for the complex. However, when all seemed set, a visit by the state vasthu consultant SuddalaSudhakarTeja left the officials searching for another two more acres of land. Mr Teja said that the 32-acre parcel would become vasthu compliant if another two acres are included in it.

Of the 32 acres, 12 acres is barren land and the remaining 20 acres is under cultivation. Since it’s the middle of the harvesting season, the officials are waiting for the season to end to acquire the land. The officials also found that some of the farmers, who are patta holders, are cultivating land in this area while their registered land is somewhere else.

However, this has been going on for several years. Due to this, the state government decided that it would be better to take up construction of the integrated government office complex in the second phase.

The district administration also chose another 14 acres for police department offices and another 30 acres near Gummudur in Survey No. 287 for a police firing range. However, all these lands are entangled in some dispute or the other.
